Anybody notice this? We've seen guys take huge bombs or even go out completely and they recover before the announcements are made. Then when a fighter gets hit with an illegal strike they can't think, can't focus, need walked or carried out, act like they've been shot, etc. Milking to the point of ridiculousness. Not just saying last night, but in plenty of other fights.

I wonder how many sherbros could get up and continue fighting after Petr Yan kneed them in the head while they were on the ground.

Okay Karen. Why didn’t he flop around dramatically with other big shots?

Sterling was eating much bigger shots throughout the fight and working through them. He takes a convenient knee and starts flopping around in front of the ref.

It’s obvious he wanted out and didn’t want to bother using the allotted time to recover.

It’s obvious he was laying it extra on the acting.

Go take your kids to soccer practice or something.

They aren’t very good actors and yes I’ve noticed too. I think it’s funny, just extra entertainment.

Ur point being?

It took like 3 minutes for frankie to get uo after cory koed him it all depends of the recovery time of a fighter
Of course. Aljo obviously wasn’t knocked unconscious and not sure he was concussed. He took a big shot for sure, but many are able to continue after a big shot.

I don't know about sherbros but actual MMA fighters take knees like that all the time in ONE and they absorb them like any other strike. The moment one lands in UFC is an "instant KO" and we all know why.

Explain to me what is so different about them that ONE, DEEP and Rizin fighters and promoters seem to not be able to differentiate them from other strikes.

You make a valid point, there is no reason that an illegal strike should incapacitate someone any longer than a normal strike, except for maybe the idea that they completely don’t expect it because it’s not in the rules.
