As 'Mairondi' asked about Texas after they announced to open the state I am wondering why aren't there any UFC events going down in Florida?

That's a good question
canelo last fight was in florida with fans

If they did one in Florida,id consider troopin down

To put on a full UFC event Florida is monumentally expensive compared to Abu Dhabi.

I don't really get it either if they want to do events with fans. You have several high quality gyms there so it's not like it'd be particularly difficult to get fighters in either.

Maybe they can't find somewhere suitable for the bubble they need to put together, idk.

Not enough Asian hookers and blackjack tables in Florida

Would an audience be allowed? If not why not just do it in the Apex? The whole point of going to Texas is because they’re allowing an audience

Floridaman won't allow it until no mask mandate.

Just before their run of Apex and Fight Island events there were three in Florida, taking advantage of that state's liberal interpretation of essential workers to include pro wrestlers and what not.

Because they don't want fighters testing positive, they still can't fight if they do...

Florida can have events but they can't be fully opened to the public. Dana is interested in Texas because he can have full fan capacity.
