khabib has the lowest level of comp+defenses but his dominance is absurd

The next tier are fighters that lost in their prime but had a dominant run where they destroyed and finished top level comp but didnt lose in title fights or to lesser opponents during dominant run

Anderson could argue he belongs in tier one based on this criteria between pride losses and weidman 1
Aldo between early loss and conor KO
MM
Nunes

Cant put fighters like gsp into goat talks when he lost to Hughes and a journeyman lw in his first title defense in his absolute prime and was finished BOTH times.

georges isnt a goat at least not in the top 7 or 8 fighters all time.

Usman is inching his way up as is Adesanya.

Interesting criteria. Using it Jordan isn't a basketball GOAT, since he had bad days in his prime in the NBA. Same for Gretzky in the NHL, he had bad days in his prime. For that matter, Usain Bolt isn't the sprinting GOAT, since he didn't win all his races in his prime. Babe Ruth and every other top hitter in MLB had days in their primes where they didn't get any hits, so none of them are GOAT's either. Tiger Woods wasn't the golf GOAT either, because even in his prime he didn't win every tournament he played in. Same for Federer in men's tennis and Serena Williams in women's tennis, as both lost in some tournaments during their prime. In boxing the names usually listed as the GOAT (Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis) all lost in their primes, so clearly none of them is really a GOAT.

In fact, most sports have no GOATs at all, since even their best players sometimes had a bad day.

Further, I note that Jones and Fedor both had losses on their records while in their primes (technical losses are still losses in sport), so they can't be GOAT's either. I have to admire criteria that excludes GSP, Anderson, Jones and Fedor from GOAT status. I suspect there may be fighters in minor organizations without any losses, interesting that they would rank higher under the no-losses criteria than most of the UFC fighters.

How can you say GSP lost in his prime when he was better his losses? If he improved after his first fight against Serra, then he wasn’t in his prime when he lost, by definition

Being undefeated was never the bar for boxing. Not sure why mma fans want to insist differently for mma......

This is why Rocky Marciano is the greatest HW of all time! Bow down people!

ali s prime ended before the first fraizer figth

Losing early in your MMA career doesnt mean you lost in your prime....

Anderson absolutely belongs on the list even with you shitty criteria for GOAT

If Anderson wad in his prime against Weidman and Aldo in his prime against Conor, how wasnt Fedor in his prime when he got subbed by Werdum and dominated by Bigfoot? Literally nothing in those fights that would make one believe decreased reflexes or overall career damage played a role
