If you were the UFC what would make most sense for the UFC for the lightweight division?
The UFC clearly doesn't want Conor as a champion because he won't fight.
Dustin is ruining it for himself right now with his complaints in the media.
Oliveira only speaks Portugues.
Chandler looks arrogant and is marketable.
Gaethje has Ali Abdelaziz as a manager.

What are the predictions? Which fights are going to happen in the next 6 months and who are they going to push?
The UFC is right now making long term plans. What are these plans?

Obviously, Dustin as champion makes the most sense.Good looking, well spoken, role model, coming off a big win. And most importantly just signed a new contract and he proven in the past to be a company man.

Smart play give Dustin the belt and pray he mows over everyone else

Not sure Oliveira only speaking Portuguese is a problem.
The act of becoming champion seems to push them towards learning English, for example: Zhang has become a lot better at English.
The only anomaly to this is Stipe, but, that man will never learn English

It's the UK and Ireland that can't speak English

Lol, besides the last point (which is a fact) the rest is speculative nonsense.

They absolutely do.
Nah I don't think so at this point, him losing a purely standup fight has to speak something. he has now been exposed COMPELTELY. conors next fight should be on espn, I'd expect it to be the biggest ESPN headliner of all time whatever, but he asboltely should not be given a main event ppv non title fight like diaz 1/2, conor vs cerrone, conor vs poirier. that era is done.

We got 6 guys in the mix: Chandler, Poirier, Gaethje, Conor, Diaz and Oliveira.

Conor is the cash cow, UFC needs him to win and generate high revenue. Him vs Chandler, Gaethje and Olives is too risky as they are all in their prime of their careers and look like killers.

Conor vs Diaz III makes a lot of sense.
Poirier doesn’t want Olives or Chandler.

Thus, we need Oliveira vs Gaethje for the title. Chandler needs 1 more win. I suggest book Chandler vs the winner of Dariush/CDF.

Conor/Diaz winner fights Poirier. Then at the end of the year the winner fights for the title of whoever it might be.

Conor Diaz 3 doesn't matter for the title picture.

Dustin said he would fight Olivera for the title, he just said he doesn't want to find Chandler.

They should make a top 16 tourney!
Yup.

personally I would like to see tournaments any time a belt is vacated. 4-8 man tourneys so the process could be done in less than a year if possible. Fans would LOVE it.

Long term mess ups seem to spawn from short term cash grabs, so I'd probably just push for the right thing and book

Doostin vs Oliveira for the title
Gaethje vs RDA
Tony vs Chandler
Conor vs Nate 3

By the way, for gimmick's sake, I also think Conor vs Doostin 3 should be at WW. 145->155->170.
