He's a good dude, it's too bad his career went so sideways so soon.

I doubt he can comfortably retire yet

Why not? He could easily be a wrestling coach or a BJJ instructor or a million other things connected to fighting.

To take UFC fights at this point to finish out the big contract is all cte at this point.

Easy for me to say for sure, and I'm not doubting he'll need to course correct his lifestyle, but it's better than the other road of dementia.

I like him too, but the writing is on the wall.

I'd imagine those types of positions are definitely the proper post-career moves.

I'm sure he wants to squeeze as much as he possibly can before he makes that departure. Chris has a wife and 2 kids if I'm not mistaken, he just recently left NY and had mentioned the taxes being super high.
But I'm in total agreement about him retiring. Dude's been leveled at least 5 times. No bueno

Dunno the specifics, but the money just isn’t there to make a living and support a family, I mean, Firas is out there peddling his TimTam and shite... (and Firas is one of the top dogs)

Yeah, I'm sure those jobs are out there, but the pay?
Probably between 20-30k a year, martial arts gyms are as prone to failure as new restaurants as well.
I'm almost positive that the chris is sticking around to pad that bank account. He might still believe in regaining gold, but he definitely believes in stacking up while he can

A gym ran with former UFC champion attached to it has more weight than the average martial arts gyms.
 
Uriah Hall has the worst luck. I think he had 3 fights fall through last year if I remember right.
