Rampage got kicked so many times and was limping and still almost won the fight! Fought to a split decision. When he was getting kicked by a 220 pound man.

He got suspended by the NSAC for 6 months and fought through the pain.

Fight should have been a draw.... no way you can give Forrest a 10-8 for the second round and not give Page a 10-8 in the first when he dropped and almost finished him...

Yeah but then you remember Rampage lost to Forrest Griffin.

Yes you can. People that say this don't understand the scoring system. Merely dropping someone isn't always a 10-8, but being mounted for an entire round usually is.

The fight could have gone either way and it still would have made sense. It was a very close fight. Wait, why the hell are we even still talking about this? lol

Pretty easy to give up when you have (had) 100 million dollars in the bank vs. when you are hungry, fighting for a spot and advancing your career. Money changes everything.

The reason calf kicks are so effective is that at least right now people are saying there's no way to toughen the calf up and take the kick like you can with your thigh which is much thicker. They are two different types of attacks

Tarec Saffadine vs. Nate Marquadt springs to mind. Nates leg was brutalised, but he stayed in there for 25 minutes.

Every time it comes up people say it was a robbery, which isn't true. It was just a close fight. Forrest in general gets no respect though.

It's weird because people always go to that argument that if the round he mounted Page was 10-8, then the rounds page dropped him should have been 10-8 as well. That's definitely not how the unified rules work.

triple c would be a better comparison when he fought dj the second time imo

lol totally different

Leg kick is a thud and barely even hurts, esp in a fight. I didn't even feel them til I had warmed down afterwards sat down and stopped moving. Once you started moving again (ie walking around) the pain goes away.

When I got calf kicked in sparring, it feels like the guy has a knife in the end of his foot, its a sharp pain that just doesn't feel right. And this was in sparring when your'e not even striking hard.
