Less than three months ago Khabib absolutely mauled the number one contender. I am happy to let a man retire, but if you lose interest in a dominant champion a mere three months after he last displayed his superiority, then you probably weren't that interested to begin with.

if he's all that then a welterweight debut wouldn't stop him

and he said himself GSP didn't want the fight

and my interest has nothing to do with him all the sudden announcing retirement, and avoiding the welterweight division

I think so, yeah. I think he only wants one more fight, the title doesn't mean much to him at this point I don't think.
