I believe it is the first time the name Bellator was uttered on an official UFC broadcast.
On the weigh ins Anik announced Chandler as "the former Bellator Champion".
Was that a slip up? Did he just fuck up? Is he now a "never my friend" contender?

I like to think that Dana gave his blessings for that shout out to Bellator. I think there’s room for both organisations, but Bellator buying up UFC fossils isn’t the way forward for them imo. 1. There is no fucking chance Dana gave his blessings for that Bellator shout out. Poor Anik probably just put his job on the line.

2. They definitely should be getting the UFC fossils. That's what makes them money and keeps them in business. Bellator would be gone without those sorts of names. Guys like Pico are great but no casuals even know who he is.

It's a slip-up but Chandler is a UFC fighter now and that's what matters. Win, lose, draw it doesn't matter he's now a UFC fighter. Anik just accidentally added some spice to the fight in possibly a good way that won't hurt UFC.
