Why are some people upset that Conor and Dustin are being cool with each other?

These guys don't actually have beef so I'd rather they not fake it.

I find it refreshing that the shit talking isn't over the top like before. I think a lot of us got sick of that but some will complain either way.

"Conor is such a jackass. I can't stand him."

Either way he goes, you won't like it.

But really either way, it shouldn't matter that much. What's important is what happens in the cage. You can be both respectful and competitive. I would say that's normal.

It feels forced imo. It’s kind of like when someone who’s not a shit talker tries to shit talk. It doesn’t feel authentic. I don’t want manufactured story lines, I just want them to act the way they feel.

Insecure Conor fans seeing Dustin might have a chance.

Because they are barely acknowledging they will even be locked in a cage to fight

Chandler and Hooker have no beef but you can feel the intensity that they want to rip each other’s heads off and have something to prove with the fight being important to them

Conor and Poirier fight feels like a friendly exhibition where neither guy cares if they win all proceeds go to charity

It looks worse for Poirier imo because he is following Conor’s lead in the dance and mental game. He looks like a little puppy and will get knocked out viciously like Cowboy did because of it

Did Conor really have beef with anyone ever? He just made shit up as he went along in press conferences. But all the haters(including me) know he's damn talented. Wish he was the old Conor on the mic though at least 1 fight a year

1/2 the country has a lot of built up hate and needs an outlet, especially at this exact time!

Think about it.

Their last fight was like 6 years ago. Both have come such a long way and they're both at the top of the heap now. The amount of sacrifices made to get there, how could they not have a mutual respect for each other? Plus they're both fathers now and what I know about fathers is that they tend to relate to one another.

You're not one of the people I'm talking about either way. Whether he talks some shit or not, it shouldn't matter that much. Ultimately it's about a fight.

They want the old Conor back, just like how everyone loves WEC Palmer.

Yeah, I think they know that this is a huge fight for both.

If the nature of the fight is your concern, then at least wait for the fight to happen. I don't that it'll be a boring outcome.

A level of drama, beef, hate, strife - undeniably adds to a fight though.

I agree, no problem with it. It's cool in a way and nothing is manufactured or fake. But when you look at shit like Ali's hyped fights, Mayweather's, Tyson-Holyfield, Tyson vs the dude who called him a homo lol, McGregor-Aldo, Usman-Covington (much lesser scale), Jones-DC 3, etc.

Jones-DC 3 vs Stipe-DC 3 is a good example of how both kinds of fights can be hyped. But still that dramatic storyline definitely adds a lot. This doesn't need it, this is a de facto title fight or number 1 contender fight depending on Khabib, and that's where the drama aspect lies I suppose.

But you don't know how they feel *shrug*. So you can only speculate on what YOU feel is fake and authentic and may never be pleased because you'll never know what is real and fake for the fighters.

Tough spot my man.
