... Would the roster be dominated by Americans, as it's now?
A friend of mine thinks the reason Americans are dominating the roster is because they are the best in MMA, best gyms, best trainers, etc...
But is it not because the UFC is an American company that found it's popularity in the US?
If the UFC was, say, a Japanese company with the same level of it's current popularity, then I bet the majority of fighters would be Japanese, and Americans would be a minority
TL;DR: American dominance in MMA is due to UFC's popularity as entertainment, not that Americans are inherently superior fighters/have the best infastructure
