Who was really better Prime cain or prime DC

His destruction of Big Nog, Lesnar, Big Foot (twice, in the 1st round), and JDS (both fights are the worst beatdowns in MMA history) are still amazing to watch.

Edit - Would like to add Cain being a 'HW Kahib' is somewhat accurate. Khabib had better takedowns and grappling, but Cain's striking and GnP were better. Also, Cain's endurance was insane for a HW.

Cain's huge weakness was that he was open season to being tagged by anyone that could throw straight punches. That's why Kongo was such a tough matchup for him. Styles make fights, and he really would have struggled against guys like Stipe and even Econoreem that DC has a chance against (Stipe) or blows through (Econoreem). Cain has a few better strengths, but DC is more well rounded, and so I think he's a greater fighter.

I also think that DC's better wrestling gives him a leg up against big, fast guys like Black Beast that Cain would struggle with. I think Cain could get these guys down, but not keep them down and then he would get hurt on the feet.

This. Cain's ridiculous training style shortened his career tremendously but he was the more dangerous fighter in his prime IMO

Cain in his absolute prime got knocked out by JDS in 30 seconds.

Would that have happened to DC? No.

DC is absolutely better than Cain, as he's got not only the better toolset (he's an olympian, Cain is not), AND first and foremost he's way more intelligent when it comes to fighting.
