In boxing a Heavyweight title is usually seen as the most prestigious because of the lineage of men who have held those belts: Mohammad Ali, Mike Tyson, etc.
When it comes to MMA though I would say the most prestigious title would be the Welterweight championship, it’s the perfect blend of size so the men aren’t height mogged, but also demands technique because you can’t just muscle your way out of bad spots Derrick Lewis style. What do you think? I bet Pride fanboys will disagree.

In the UFC it's usually the LW division

It makes sense since most men are around the walk around weight of a LW so it normally has the highest amount of competitors which promotes better competition

Certainly used to be the LHW division prior the Jon Jones era.

I think the perception of it changes depending on if you have a dominant champ or lots of change at the top. When you get a dominant champ people start to see division as shallow.

All time-HW
Now LW

It depends on the strength of the division at the time. In Pride it was the HW title. In the late 2000s post-pride merger it was the LHW title. And toward the end of GSPs run it was the WW title.

Right now it seems to be the LW title. However Izzy is the most prestigous champion at the moment so maybe the MW title?

LW is the most prestigious, BW is the most stacked

LW

lol at WW... so suddenly now its stacked after Tyron Woodley fell off ? They just had a LW (masvidal) who is 11-7 in the UFC fight for the belt. WW is just usman and colby right now, sharp drop off after that.

Jones/ Stipe/ Ngannou/ DC at the top are gonna make an exciting division. Yeah, I said it, DC's coming back. No way he sees Jones at the top and it doesn't eat at him.
