Brunson is so underrated. I can't fathom these odds. His only losses are to the elite of the elite(Yoel and PRIME Jacare). Fighters that go on to become champs(Whittaker and Izzy). I just don't think Holland is that. Not throwing shade at Holland I like him and his style but he's just not good enough to beat Brunson imho.

That’s the thing. If you’re not champion caliber Brunson is gonna stop you. We’ve seen way too many super talented and promising guys get beat down by him at this point to give him these kinds of odds. I like Holland, his strikings clean as hell, and he’s probably going to have an advantage when striking from the outside....but boy oh boy when Brunson gets inside he certainly knows how to put guys away

Man, Holland has one of the worst gas tanks at MW and Brunson has learned to pace himself and not fight like a spastic for the first 3 minutes of the opening round. Kevin Holland just ain't that good and he's gonna get ragdolled in this one. His overall game is pretty tricky and he's given us some cool flash KO's but he is not champ material at all and that's what you have to be to get past Brunson.

Brunson is nice and he stops hype trains I suppose, Shabazyan, but Holland is levels above.

Either a decision win or KO for Holland.

Holland has too much momentum and Brunson has proven over his career to just not be that great. Although he's constantly staying relevant he loses the big fights

Agreed that Brunson is underrated. A big part of these odds has to do with Holland being so overrated as well. You break down his wins on this 5-fight win streak and you'll see he squeaked by Darren Stewart after gassing out completely in the third, a KO over Buckley which may or may not turn out to be a huge W for him (we'll see how good Joaquin ends up being), and KO'ing a clearly shot, chinny Jacare from the bottom. He has a close SD over Meerschaert too, but really the guy is a clear notch or two below where everyone seems to be putting him. This fight will be Derek's and people will have to re-evaluate their views on the Trailblazer after this one.

I do like his activity level, though.

Brunson tends to get smashed in big fights. Jacare KO'd him fast with the same kick he KO'd him when they first fought. Israel smashed him and he looked scared in there. That being said if he wrestle f's him he has a chance.
