Several in the MMA media have already replied to this, and I agree with them. Basically, Dana White accused the media of saying that the UFC couldn't put on any events during the pandemic, when really the media was criticizing the UFC for unsafe practices during the early phase of the pandemic. White was trying to pull out every trick he could to skirt the CDC guidelines, and it took a phone call from a US Senator to get him to stop. Once they started to conduct the events with safety, implement testing, etc, nobody in the media said anything bad about them.
That's a thing about Dana White that's irritated me a lot over the years; he tries to act like a tough guy by bashing reporters, but he comes off extremely thin-skinned and weak. The guy's a multi-millionaire who might even be worth ten figures now; why does he care about what a bunch of reporters who work for websites think?
