Edwards vs. Chimaev, I cannot think of a recent match more difficult to pick a winner.

This is such an interesting match, you have Edwards who has proven himself against top competition and his only loss in 5 years is to the current champ. Then you have Chimaev who has looked unstoppable albeit it against lesser opponents. The truth is we don't know how good he is right now and the unpredictability in my opinion makes this match up all the more exciting.

I really could not choose a winner, I do predict however who ever wins will do so in a dominating fashion.

I have no idea who's going to win but I feel whoever wins deserves the next title shot after burns-usman fight.

Edwards deserves it if he wins for stealing chimaevs hype especially in dramatic fashion.

And chimaev deserves it for beating a top 3 contender.

I'm leaning towards Chimaev, just a hunch that we are going to find out that he is actually as good as his hype. I think UFC also knows that Chimaev has a real shot of beating Leon.

Assuming he doesn't catch Leon early and often, which could happen I'm a big fan of his pressure, I'm interested to see what kind of pace he can sustain with an elite guy . Great match making imo.

Yeah he is a much more bankable star if he succeeds, but its a big gamble.

Really interesting fight, should not be easy for either

Chimaev is a safe bet here. Edwards had covid badly and it's just not enough time for him to recover properly.

In my decade of watching MMA, I’ve never seen someone rushed as quickly as Khamzat succeed. Just based on this, I think I’d go with the conventional wisdom that elite veteran beats super hyped newcomer.

The thing is, I believe the Khamzat hype. But he is young, still has <10 fights and has never been in a competitive one. I think he’ll probably get decisioned here but still be an elite fighter with a great chance of beckoning champ in 3-5 years.

It’s fun in that one guy is a real mystery.

Is Khamzat legit?

will he steamroll Leon?

or will he get smoked and derail the hype train?

Either seems possible.
Look forward to finding out.

pretty much right on the money. Khamzat has only fought jabrones thus far. of course he's looked great, but Edwards is a massive step up in competition... in a way it reminds me of MVP vs Douglas lima.

If Edwards was fighting anyone else, Sherdog would be almost universally dumping on him. The only reason he's getting limited respect now is because Khamzat fans want his expected victory to mean something.

Not really difficult. Leon wins. Khamzat is overrated. Now...if Khamzat wins easily. He's pretty much next Khabib.

LOL @ anyone picking Leon.

Unlike Alexander Houston, Khamzat is for real ..

Experience is invaluable in MMA and Leon definitely has more.

These comments really prove how difficult this

I wouldn't say he is overrated, but untested. His ranking is kind of a mystery.
