Definitely a good fight, and without question one of the top 5 fights this year.

But 2020 belongs to Zhang Weili vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk. An amazing fight from start to finish, and an all time great fight, instant classic. Converted more people to WMMA than any fight ever.
Was immediately followed by one of the most disappointing fights in history.

WMMA saved that event, and proved that women can fight like absolute warriors.

100%. The fight should have been way more one sided, Poirier tends to do that. Everytime he lands a clean shot or gets hit with one he starts swinging, also defending every takedown attempt with a guillotine wasn't smart.

That’s awesome. Hooker-Poirier was great and all, but for me it doesn’t reach the standard of a FOTY. Same with Fig-Moreno. While Fig is my pick for Fighter of the Year, that fight didn’t quite achieve FOTY levels for me.

I was yelling at the TV when he kept going for chokes. It was almost like he was trying to give the rounds away at times, lol.

I thought this fight was excellent, but not as good as some make it out to be. Bits of the second half of were kind of meh. But those Diamond hammer-fists against the fence really do it for me every time I see them...
