That trailer was pretty cool honestly. Looked like a good Hollywood movie.

Leon's gameplanning is massively underrated, would have beaten prime Woodley.

Covid fucked him over.

However, I think if he became champ, dana would have waiting with his hand on the plug to dump him like he did with Bendo.

How did covid fuck him over?

He said he was ready whenever Usman was, and then a couple of weeks later he said he declined the title shot, most likely because he wanted more time to prepare for Usman - which is hilarious because he definitely wasn't ready when Usman was

the whenever wherever thing is a cleche lie everyone in mma and boxing says to sound cool.

Not everybody is donald cerrone willing to fight 7 times a year.

Holland and Khamzat will probably fight less frequently if they became champs too.

I really hope he's been improving as a fighter over this long layoff, it'll be exciting if he comes back in peak form.

Covid messed his planning up, I agree with that. Leon likely would have beaten Woodley and perhaps get a TS. In the UK, he wasn't able to prepare for a short noticr Usman fight. You can't expect a guy to take a fight without preperation. It did not work out for Masvidal either

Sure, just looked terrible the way he called Usman out saying he was ready whenever he was. Usman said "i'm ready" and Edwards replied "i'm not ready"

Yeah, if you put it like that.. I guess he didn't expect to even get that chance tbh

Leon Scott is a complete fraud, he refused to fight Woodley, refused to fight Wonderboy, and pulled out of the Khamzat fight.

By far the worst thing he did for himself was ducking Wonderboy. Mind bogglingly stupid idea because it was obvious that Usman, Burns, Covington and Masvidal were not interested in fighting him. Ended up fighting unranked guy instead. Idiot.

If he got the chance to fight Woodley instead of Burns, he would have dominated the fight and we'd all be waiting on his title shot right now, and no one would be blinking an eye.

But after Burns subbed in, Edwards acted like his would-be victory over Woodley being a foregone conclusion, that it automatically counted as a win for him and he was still ahead of everyone and next for the belt. He still needed more fights, if just one to get a title shot, and he only wanted to fight the top 4, not the top 5, for some odd reason. Now he's fighting a guy that shouldn't even be #15. I was defending Leon's standings in the welterweight division in this forum pretty strongly until the unjustifiable denial of Wonderboy in order to fight Khamzat. Just awful.
