Biggest surprises in the UFC for you this year?

Ferguson getting brutalized on the feet only to get manhandled on the ground in back to back fights
A flyweight and WMMA fight being in the talks for FOTY
Masvidal stepping in to fight Usman in no time
Ciryl Gane actually getting to fight
Romero cut
UFC actually putting on events so early in the pandemic

Shit ton of suprises this year

All this as well.

How easily Izzy smashed Costa, and Khabibs pure dominance over so called and hyped D1 wrestler Justin on the mat. Honourable mentions- Bald goof for handling pandemic situation so well, and most heartbreaking for me, Tony’s fall from grace in totally dominant fashion

Mike Perry losing his fight with CTE.

Edit: In all seriousness, if you would have told me at the beginning of January last year that in less then a month Conor McGregor would return, smash Donald Cerrone in under a minute and have the willingness to fight at least two more times in that year but the UFC basically didn't allow him to, I would have never believed it.

Not surprised on how well Khabib did against the alleged best wrestler on paper, but him retiring right afer it.

The rebirth of the flyweights after 2020 opened with the division at the brink of disaster. The title was vacated at the end of 2019. Not a single star at flyweight and it was heavily speculated that the division might close.

At the end of the year the division had the most reliably entertaining champion and I am excited for the future of flyweights.

Oliveira and Durinho emerging as top contenders. Jon Jones arguably losing.
