As soon as Cody heals up from the Covid stuff i mean. I think Cody should rethink his flyweight run and try another run at BW, as his speed is deadly in this division.

Who wins vs him and Font?

I think Font wins via tko. Very few men hit harder at that weight. Ironically, Cody is one of them. But their chins are on different levels.

Cody via decision is my second pick, no doubt. But I think Font gets a finish.

Cody should win and has the better boxing so I’ll go with Font by TKO
I'd say Font has better boxing fundementals. I've never seen Cody work off a jab for example. And he get's hit alot.

Cody got crazy reflexes though and is the more athletic dude. I wanna see this fight so bad.

Would be great to watch. I got Font via TKO, but it's quite close.

Cody should just go 125, forget a KO Rob Font would probably knock his chin off
So let's just forget how Cody recently decapitated Assuncao? Cody still got it at 135. Flyweight is always an option when Cody racks up losses at BW. Too early now imo.

I think Font has better overall striking but Cody's counter game is tailor made for this type of guys

At their best both have some of the best defense(yes Cody) and hands in the division. Cody would have the power advantage but in an exchange I'd probably favor Rob with his chin and combinations. Codys also got under rated kicks though which have caused problems for the New England Cartel guys.

Would favor Font as he seems a bit more on the up and up and consistent than Cody but Cody could cause problems uf he stays disciplined and well rounded in his approach.

Font is the better boxer. Cody is the better athlete though and probably has the fastest hands at 135 and 145lbs. He makes a lot of technical mistakes that rob doesn't make, but his speed saves him

Ehh, I'm not so sure. Font has a 6 inch reach advantage over Cody and the best jab In that division. It will be hard for Cody to make up that distance and counter Font while Font is fighting behind the jab. Cody is fast as fuck though so who knows

This is the fight that should happen next right? I see no other way. Unless Cody's illness sidelines him for a while.

Cody got his first victory since 2016 against a 38 year old Assuncao who is on a 3 fight losing streak. Cody's chin is shot and until I see him eat a flush shot without crumbling, I believe he is done competing against the top guys.

No but Assuncao was also on a 2 fight skid and I think he has a better chance at 125 his weight was more in line with what FLWs rehydrate to then the BWs. Assuncao also isnt really known for his heavy hands, Font has some heat. Codys also been Koed in 3 of his last 4

Cody is super chinny. His KO was great, but he is a glass cannon. The less power his opponents have, the better for Cody. Because of this, I want to see him versus Ngannou.

Also, Cody get's a lot of push from the UFC his TS at Flyweight was ridiculous and was totally undeserved. He is in a weird spot, cause he can't wait for the Figgy x Moreno rematch. So I do agree he is better of fighting at BW, cause if he loses at Flyweight, his Titleshot is gone

This reminds me of Font/Lineker. I was high on Font’s potential at the time and thought he could make a statement there.

It was a disappointing performance where he couldn’t find his range despite a length advantage.

He’s grown a lot since then but Cody’s speed and footwork could pose him issues.
