Conor brought so much attention to the UFC and MMA by being hotheaded and flamboyant and great at trash talking, but on the flip side he demanded more than other fighters because he realized his money’s worth! Do u think the UFC advocate this kind of action or are they worried that fighters would have more say if more fighters did just that?

Seems like bad publicity is good publicity for the last two years.. hopefully things start changing but I doubt it

The UFC is far more interested in promoting the brand than they are individual fighters.

I don’t think the UFC cares what an individual fighter does so long as they say yes to the fights they give them.

I was thinking if Stipe would learn something from Conor and starts promoting because even I’m losing interest in the UFC!

Hell no. It's turning me off when we can't get legitimate fights anymore. Nobody wants the sport and everyone wants the fame and money.

Edit: Oh. Does the UFC want more? Probably. Do I? No.

Yeah everyone should shut up and fight for Reebok coupons

I don't think the UFC really cares about what fighters do or how they act. This is both a blessing and a curse for the sport. Ultimately, they only care that fighters attract viewers, so whatever gets them to that end.

As for the other part of your question, they obviously don't want fighters to speak up about their value. They're fighting a lawsuit related to just that.

The UFC's ideal fighter is Conor who doesn't get in trouble outside the cage and who doesn't ask for more money.

Every event is focused on who is fighting. Every commercial and ad is built off of the guys who are headlining the cards.

It’s very much in their interest for fighters to be popular and generate interest themselves.

The guys who bring in the $$ get paid the most $$.
Of course, what I'm saying is if Conor was one of those "Oi'll foight whoeva day trow at me" dudes for a standard UFC contract they'd love him even more.

But they’d also gladly pay guys like that millions.

Damn straight. If anything the fighters should be paying the UFC for letting them be on the roster. It's not a career, it's an opportunity!

Ratings wise, and trash talk wise yes but way more submissive. They created a monster in Conor.

No, it doesn’t work for everybody.

They need people to just be original.
That’s all.
