I think he will try to be patient and stall Conor against the cage for the first two rounds. Then mixes up his boxing and grappling to impose a high pace on Conor and exploit his questionable cardio.

I think Conor has the clear edge in boxing and that his grappling is underrated. Dustin is a better grappler but mcgregor defensive grappling made him survive longer against Khabib.

Dustin has the edge in heart and cardio tho.

Very interesting fight, how will Dustin approach it in your opinion ?

If it goes past round one Dustin turns Colin into a panic wrestler faster than Nate dog did.

Headmovement, footwork and crisp boxing. Might not be enough but that's his strength. That's what got him to the dance.

His best chance is to stick to his strong suit and try to outstrike Conor. Mix in takedowns with that. Be well rounded.

Don't let Conor control the cage. Khabib was always shifting side to side and Conor was always resetting . He needs to fight like Frankie Edgar and keep moving laterally

I really can't say but weather the early storm maybe? Then open up with low kicks. Keep his hands up and show some movement. If it goes to the 2nd round, try to wrestle him in the fence and tire him out. Turn it on on the 3rd, mix it up with strikes and single legs and outwork him. If he takes him down, elbows and attempt subs. Finish him via TKO or sub. Easier said than done though. But we really can't tell how this plays out, and like what Ortega 2.0 did, we don't know how much Conor improved with a year of layoff. Excited for this.

Conor will beatnhim to the punch every single time.

I honestly can't see DP winning this.

Feints. Push the pace while being safe. Tire him out. Clinch and dirty boxing.

Uses the leg kicks particularly low ones early to try and disrupt Conor's movement, Conor with his wide stance is vulnerable to kicks. Other than the obvious get past the first two rounds maybe even throw a takedown of few feinted ones in to keep Conor off balance then take over when Conor's well documented cardio issues arise from the 3rd onwards.

wall & stall and counter shoulder strikers with his own

Circle to right , keep that noggin off center line and try and wear him down by any means. Dustin isnt going to outbox Conor but he can ABSOLUTELY hurt him standing . He gets him to ground and we'll see about this " Conor ground game" were hearing about. Conor is favored and should be but this is a winnable fight for Dustin. Khabib fight aside, when was Conor involved in a real relevant UFC fight ?
Khabib stays retired and Charl-O will beat winner.

Dustin doesn't really have the offensive wrestling to implement that type of a game plan against Conor, so he will be forced to strike with him in the early rounds at least.

I give Dustin about a 30% chance of winning the standup, but Conor is just more elite than him in that area.

Conor will TKO/KO Dustin in the first few rounds. I think it will look a lot like the Alvarez fight TBH

He has had years to think about what he did wrong in the first fight and tune a strategy. I think the clinch heavy approach could work for him

I honestly think he has no choice but to kickbox with him. I don’t think he can take Conor down. His TDD looked pretty good against khabib.

Sloppy brawling and hope for the best. That approach has served him well in the past. I can't see any carefully planned gameplan for him to execute because he'll probably get tagged hard early on.

it will be a stand up fight, obviously. Dustin will try to stay safe the first few rounds and chew Conor's legs before dirty box him when both slow down.

He's got to stay super calm and not get caught in early exchanges where Conor is so dangerous. Stick and move, then start to dial up the volume from Rd 3 onwards.
