You think Colby would take that fight? Clearly he wants either Masvidal or a title shot, given the UFC is seemingly happy enough to make the Colby Masvidal fight I don't see Wonderboy getting that match up, the more realistic option would be the loser of Burns/Usman, or failing that the Edwards/Khazmat winner though Edwards if he wins seems to think he should be getting a title shot.

Thompson hasn’t done enough to warrant a title shot over Colby, Masvidal or Leon so providing they win then Thompson needs another fight before he fights for the belt, so we are running out of available options.
If Wonderboy fights someone lower ranked he could still need another fight before he gets a title shot and essentially remain in the same position.
I don’t think anyone wants to see Thompson vs Woodley 3.

How about Geoff Neal vs Handz of Steel
and they’ll probably make Pereira vs Niko Price. Pereira is money.

Absolutely hence why the loser of Usman Burns is likely the best option, he'd need to win that then beat another contender, potentially the winner of Edwards/Khazmat, as I'm sure the UFC would rather give the winner of Masvidal Colby, should that fight get made another crack at Usman, provided of course he gets by Burns.

Price is suspended. I'm not even complaining, the dude has 6 kids. He needs to stop fucking around and spawning inbred hillbillies he won't raise.

Lawler vs Neal sounds solid. If Lawler loses then its time to cut for sure.
Definetly let Chito redeem himself against Dongboy.
Lee v Pettis sounds cool.
Im too much of a casual to and didnt pay enough attention for the rest.

Wonderboy v khamzat/leon winner

Khamzat/leon winner honestly shouldn't be in the title picture without another fight. One got cut for inactivity and the other was/is unranked. Fighting wonderboy sorts out the top 5 mess relatively. Colby/mas are still to recent to be in the picture if Usman wins against burns

Aldo v dillashaw

TJ needs a solid win and a big name to lay claim to getting back in the title pic. Aldo is relevant enough to warrant that. From Aldo's perspective TJ represents a big win that legitimizes his status as a top bw. This also is easily a solid co main on a ppv

  • I'm fine with Wonderboy fighting the loser of the title fight, Colby, or Masvidal. Do we know what the situation is with his leg and how long it'll take to heal? That will determine a lot of things.
  • Aldo vs. Dillashaw would be amazing. All for that.
  • Khaos vs. D-Rod is good. I'm up for it.
  • Big jump for Font, but I can get behind it. That or Pedro are really his only options IMO.
  • I was going to say putting Marlon against Merab is too big of a jump up for Merab and too big of a drop in competition for Moraes... but that's two devastating KO/TKO losses in a row for Marlon. He came out wanting to grapple against Font and everyone at 135 is booked, with Merab's opponent Raoni getting rescheduled to fight Assuncao recently. This is probably best for both of them. Stylistically interesting. Ah, fuck it. Why the hell not? Let's see if Merab's submission defense has improved and where his kickboxing is, conversely can Marlon deal with someone who's able to get in his face and pressure him with wrestling and dirty boxing like Henry did?
  • Yikes. I sort of like this fight as a fan, but I fear you'd be killing one HW prospect with another. It's not a bad match by any means, though. I think any of the available HWs ranked #11-15 would be good for Tybur next: Walt Harris, Sergei Pavlovich, Blagoy Ivanov, or Andrei Arlovski. I'm leaving JDS out because his future in the UFC is very uncertain right now. I also didn't mention Oleinik because he is already scheduled to fight Chris Daukaus in February.
  • If Greg Hardy is sticking around rather than fucking off to minor league basketball or pro boxing, Raphael Pessoa isn't a terrible opponent for him. But I think there might be better alternatives. It depends what the UFC wants to do with him. Do they want to try and set up some kind of feature Prelim striking war in which he has a chance to build his name back up? Then how about a fight with Tanner Boser, another guy who just lost his bid to get into the rankings and needs to get back in the win column? Conversely, if the UFC is over their love affair with Hardy and wants to send him on his way -- or at least give him a make-or-break test -- then they should consider giving him an opponent that is capable of testing his cardio and defensive grappling to their limits... someone like Alexander Romanov. If Hardy loses, he can fuck off to his other ventures and Romanov (already an exciting prospect amongst the hardcores) gets a nice scalp on his resume.
  • Pettis vs. Lee... why not? Everyone else ranked lower is booked. I suspect FKL pressures him well in the first round and then gets submitted later unless Lee has learned a lot in his time off. I was actually surprised to hear that Showtime was going back to Lightweight. Good on him, though. Should be fun.
  • Claudio Silva vs. Morono isn't bad. Silva's win streak just got snapped and he honestly looked terrible in that fight after a long period of inactivity. Morono has had ups-and-downs. Both guys coming off a loss, hanging outside the rankings... might as well, I suppose.
  • Gillian Robertson vs. Montana De La Rosa - Fuck yes. This is probably one of my favorite suggestions. It's a fight I've always wanted to see. Two grappling-centric perennial gatekeepers/journeymen at 125 who fight somewhat similarly. With Robertson likely dropping down in -- or even out of the rankings entirely, now's as good a time as any to set it up.
  • I wouldn't mind seeing Tafon fight the winner of Pitolo/Marquez, Impa (when he returns from the shadow realm), or Jordan Wright.

Why lawler vs neal? Lawler is done done man. I want vicente luque vs Geoff neal tbh. Thats FOTN easily.

<{JustBleed}>

In all seriousness, that would be amazing. Only thing is, Neal was ranked #11 going into the WB fight. I expect that to fall at least a bit after the loss. Luque's already ahead of him at #10. Vicente just recently fought down against Randy Brown. I suspect he'll want to go after another contender in the Top 10 for his next fight (like he did with Wonderboy) and I don't blame him. Still, the fight could totally happen and if it does... see above.

I'd love to see Geoff fight Magny as well as an alternative. He's also ranked higher, though I don't know if the latter gives a fuck considering he was calling out Khamzat. These two were previously scheduled to fight IIRC.
