Tony Ferguson Said "I Broke Oliviera In the First Round!"

he runs a jiu-jitsu school or I think he says "snap-jitsu"
saving face, and his business.
after being badly beaten.
He doesn't want people calling it "shit-jitsu" or something vulgar.
So he tries to put it into a different perspective or light.
Don't know if I agree, since I dont know much about it, but he lost bad.
Can see where he is coming from.

Still like his fighting spirit, unmatched.
If he can teach that, then his school is #1.

EDIT: informed that he doesn't teach at his gym, so this is all crap.

Agreed...

Also, Diaz was coming on late in the fight and would have ruined Masvidal, had the fight continued.

He meant to say himself, not Oliveira.

tony and rose are on the same mental level

Honestly given how neurotic Tony can be, this statement doesn't surprise me that much. Tony is such an odd ball

There are many fighters with worse UFC records than Tony Ferguson who run their own schools.

The fight itself wasn’t a huge beat down like the commentary talked about constantly. Outside of that sweet arm bar. Tony took no damage. It was just oliviera in superior positions for the entire fight. No doing any damage at all. Even the first round when they are standing. Tony is getting the better of him until the fight hits the mat.

Charles had top control for 12 mins out of 15. Which is very impressive. Sit strikes were 40 to 20.
Being in such dominant positions you would expect much more offense coming from Charles.

a guy like Colby would hit you 200 times in a fight like this.

I don’t think this was a bad loss like most think. I’m sure his arm was fucked up and it played a big part of how the next ten mins went. As Tony didn’t throw it at all. but that’s all credit to Charles.
and he should be right in line for a title shot. And I hope he doesn’t get the Tony treatment.

He broke Gaethje in round 2.

I really hope Tony stops doing interviews for a few weeks.
I honestly don't understand how delusional he could be. He broke Gaethje in the 2nd round but ended up losing the fight in round 5. He broke Do Bronx in the first round but lost a judges sweep in 3 rounds?

But let's be honest, the guy has been crazy, like truly crazy, for a few years now. C'mon, last year he woke his wife and baby son up, drove them 111 miles to the desert with a life raft waiting for an apocalyptic flood to come saying his son was Jesus Christ reincarnated. Of course, a week or so after that, he physically pushed his wife and mother in law to take his son and was served a restraining order and a 52 week intervention program and psych eval.

His gym is a private gym for himself, he doesn't teach anyone. It's just for his own personal training.

The way tony fell into that arm bar was disappointing to say the least, made worse by the fact that Tony has this aura around here of being top notch BJJ

he looked like an amateur
