I saw him (Brunson) warm up in the back and his striking just looks so weird and funny to me.
I just want to beat him up because i don't like the way he strikes. It just looks awkward. It's like a disrespect to striking. It's sad that he's knocked out strikers before with that weird striking.
He also messaged me after my fight with Anthony Hernandez and was like "hey good finish but if you ever tried something like that on me i'd throw you on your head". What kind of comment is that? Why are you talking about throwing someone on their head? You may talk to other wrestlers like that but im a striker. Don't talk to me like that.That's fighting words.

This fight also makes sense because Derek is on a win streak. He's got some wins, i got some wins, let's do it.

This is a good call out, I like it when fighters make realistic and sensible call outs like this. Let's see it, Brunson is on a streak and so is Holland. The winner of that fight should honestly be in the MW title picture.

I like this fight a lot. This is the one I was going to suggest, actually. Derek Brunson is 185's perennial gatekeeper; I feel like every up-and-coming guy needs to check in with him on their way through the ranks. Some pass the test (Izzy, Robert), others don't (Edmen). The fight always ends up being a banger either way, as Derek has a way of testing a prospect's ability to stand up to early and intense wrestling pressure complemented by some fairly heavy hands up top. It's a shame we didn't get to see him fight the likes of Paulo, Jack, or Jared in hindsight. Those all would have been fun, but I digress.

This bout has a lot of potential if it gets made. Brunson fights like someone who just remembered he left the oven on at home... at least through Round 1 and the first half of Round 2; he tends to peter out after that. Holland isn't afraid to start fast as well if need be -- he sort of matches the pace of his opponent -- so I expect fireworks early on. Kevin's TDD is mediocre, which could spell trouble. That being said, his technical striking is definitely leagues beyond Brunson when it comes to managing distance, footwork, timing, and just overall arsenal. Derek has loads of power and can crack though.

I hope the UFC makes this fight. Whoever wins should get a Top 5 opponent afterward.

I actually like this fight a lot. Big Mouth is probably better than I gave him credit for. I don't know if Brunson wants it. Maybe he sees it as a high risk/low reward fight.
