Press Conferences.

Given how many good fights weve got coming up its just a shame we cant see them all doing one big press conferences like before.

Always gets me more hyped for the fights when we're treated to an hour of guys going back and forth delivering iconic, some awful trash talk.

We're being robbed of more moments like this.

Feel free to add your favourite press conference moments aswell.

Actually- the pandemic has made the already watered down cards ......more watered down ( if thsts even possible - - - well , yeah - IT IS)

They still do press conferences for big fights. DC and Stipe had one but no one remembers it.

Also Lee/Chiesa moments are kinda rare.

I give props to UFC for still putting on a show in this crazy year. However, fighters do deserve better pay and benefits. I do appreciate a good press conference - not flr the wolf tickets, but for the zingers.

Conor put the fun in these conferences, let's be honest.

Hope they have one next month.

I actually didnt notice at all that they were gone till you reminded me. Crazy fuckin year
We had such a long initial break before it came back. I was just happy to have a sport back. Let alone my favorite, the ufc. The first card back will be electric

Your opinion, mine is the pandemic is to thank for us getting a chance to see guys like Chimaev and Holland forge careers from nobodies to future potential contenders in 6 months.

Its a shame they cant get all the fighters that close because one with Conor, Chimaev, Dustin, Leon, Izzy, Max, Stipe, Jan and the rest would have been really fun.

Totally!

I mean is there anything more entitled tho than that guy going :

"WOW UFC YOURE CARDS DURING A PANDEMIC ARE SO WATERED DOWN"

So dont fuckin stream em then!

I miss it when the fight is over. When there is a big finish. It sucks that Khabib vs Justin didnt have a big crowd when he made his retirement speech

Im still not a fan of post fight interviews done backstage the way they are compared to in ring interviews but I know im splitting hairs.

I'm not going to respond to this cause mma fans really dont get the big picture in all of this plus I'll come off hypocritical ( cause pandemic has nothing to do with your post) cause I've praised White for looking downstream and making sure his contender series goes NO MATTER WHAT from week to week . There are no more treasure coves to absorb. What does Chimaev have to do with pandemic ?
....and let's hope hes the real deal.

I don't really miss the crowds, but I do miss the international flavour of worldwide events.

Vegas or Fight Island is getting boring

Wouldn't that only make a difference with the crowd and press conferences though? Hard to tell where they are fighting when every event is an empty arena with a cage that looks the same.

The pandemic is literally in the headline but yeah its got nothing to do with my post.

Chimaevs hype train is linked to the pandemic, of course it is. We had fights every week, sometimes twice with half the roster not fighting.

The pandemic and weekly events gave someone like Khamzat to fight often, something fighters cant do usually that much in a normal year.

He got given chances to do quick turnarounds and smashed everyone.

Holland aswell, first UFC fighter to fight 6 times in a year for the same reasons.

Now can you see how their hype is related to everything going on? Theyve both benefitted hugely from it. Holland wouldnt have made 600k this year otherwise.
