If he can't get a fighter to accept the terms of a date/contract, he will just tell the media that they dont wanna fight. Which will either make them succumb to the pressure of taking the fight on their terms and conditions or risk having there opportunity taken by another fighter (in this case Esparza).

My guess is Rose doesn't want to fight on whatever proposed date was offered. But as a challenger, you don't really get to dictate those terms. Pat says they want the fight and I'm sure they do, but you can't expect the champ to sit around and wait.

Seems most likely to me too, Zhang last fought in March and can't afford to sit around for to long. Carla will be a nice name on her record.
