Young Aldo video (wholesome)

Aldo should get more respect. Grew up destitute in the favelas, cleaned the gym he slept at so he could pay for his training, working his way up from nobody to champion and undefeated fighter for a decade.

He doesn't speak English.
He doesn't talk shit.
He got knocked out by Conor.

In before neckbeards who will post the Conor gif.

Pretty cool. That is a happy man.

Aldo never had a suit before 2011? He was WEC champ for awhile before that.

Aldo was a pretty handsome guy when he was young. Been in a lot of wars though and his hairline has not been kind to him

Pretty crazy. If I recall correctly, this is around the same time when Aldo said something like, "my whole life my mother's dream was for me to be able to see the ocean once, and now I've done that." Some truly humble beginnings. New fans have no idea what they missed out on.

Down to earth motherfucker, but knuckle draggers will always masturbate over his recent downfall, especially the 13 second loss. Love this video.
Well he's competitive fighting the top YOUNG talent. Should have won the Moraes fight, lost to a young lion but was competitive and arguably was tied going in to the last round and got rocked and could not recover and got tko'd.

He's a few years out of his prime but still fighting the best and holding his own. Not many can say that. A younger Aldo beats both yan and moraes handily.

100%. That Aldo/Yan fight needs more love. Aldo was winning the first until that body shot at the end and he was in it until he gassed hard.

Young aldo beats everyone he lost to... Except maybe holloway. How do you think young aldo (WEC) does against the holloway who faced alex in July (best holloway we've seen thus far)? (inb4 aldo ko gif, "if he could beat him why did he get knocked out by him in 13 seconds and the cmg brigade showing their ugliness). But yeah max young aldo who wins?

Outside of Max - I don't see anyone he's lost to recently beating him in his prime.

Well conor would be a tough fight - that is sad the had to endure all that shit from conor to the point the was overly emotional and forgot any skills he had and ran in chin first. Would have loved to have seen a rematch at 145 like conor said he would. At 145, and not mind fucked by conor, I'd favour Jose to make take it via UD (had the rematch happened).

Also, its sucks how Aldo is the only one whose been done dirty by the ufc via the backstage footage of him after the conor fight.

He is definitely the most underrated fighter in the GOAT conversation.

Definitely, age plays a factor - especially in those high paced fights. Yan is a great fighter but he won more so via toughness, youth and conditioning (yes he is skilled but he seems to be the guy who will out last opponents till they tire out).

I don't see Yan holding the title long - his style is just too exploitable.

Also,

Aldo's story is actually one of a guy who came from nothing and rose up - not some fairytale about "deciding to quit your good paying job to go on welfare" that gets thrown around by the ufc and a certain fighter's fanbase.

You can see it in his fights - he doesn't tap and keeps fighting till he has nothing left.

If you haven't you should look up his life when he first moved to Rio - that is a lot of what hard'd him to who he is and was in the cage. When you truly suffer and do without you and you make it through perseverance becomes part of who you are.

I do hope he calls it a day soon though. Would hate to see him go the way of Penn and Anderson.

I totally forgot about the video footage. They really hated him.
