Charles is great off his back, was constantly transitioning in the first round and a bit in this exchange. Until he[and Kevin Lee] tired out. This guy isn't beating Khabib. Great fighter though, a lot better than I initially remembered the fight.

I know, I know. Styles make fights.

Someones gonna hit me with that, so I just thought I'd get that out of the way.

As much as Lee has mental lapses and his tank betrays him, he's a good, not great fighter. There's nothing wrong with that either. Though Suredawg thinks otherwise. This is a crazy, brutal sport.

I don't think that happens to Charles 2.0

Was a good fight and that's what Lee is good at so no surprise he was able to do that for 2 minutes but what's surprising is he was only able to control the fight for about 2 min he lost every other second and was finished. Oliveria isn't a top control wrestler. Khabib would smash him imo.

Seeing Charles transform and he's 31, means its not too late for Kevin Lee. Kevin lee is only 28. He's a great talent, imo. Just not mentally there. Has all the tools to put it together, will he is the question.

Lee isn't as good at one thing as Charles is at BJJ. I don't think Lee will ever really put it together but he's skilled enough to stay in the UFC and have a good career. There is nothing wrong with that at all.

fair enough.

For sure. I fully agree with that although round 2 was more competitive than round 1 and 3.

i would never bet against khabib ever again. But this would be a really interesting fight.
Khabib is so mentally strong and that’s a big of apart of his success as his skills.
I don’t think Charles has that as he’s folded early in his career. And once you do that. That’s always in your mind of quitting when things get tough. mans ive always been a fan of Charles as he’s always exciting. Especially on the floor.

And There’s a lot of great fights for khabib. And khabib has also looked better each time out. It always sucks as a fan when I prime fighter leaves the sport with so much more left in him.

He was just laying on him not looking for gnp or submissions

I agree, I think Khabib would smesh Charles.

He's been pounded on the ground before, and even this 2.0 version got laid on for a bit here. I think Khabib's awareness on the ground is enough not to get subbed, especially against the cage, and I haven't seen enough from Charles to believe that his wrestling is up to par to avoid that from happening. I don't know if he would deal with Khabib's pressure standing well either. Maybe if we see Islam vs Charles we'll get a good idea.

Exactly. He was gassed.
<seedat>

A gassed lee was able to neutralize Chucky off his back because Chucky gassed(as well did lee). Khabib would not gas there. Charles has the same amount of time Khabib's past opponents had. The best chances are in the first 7-8mins before they get zapped of energy.

I'm not so sure, he was walking Lee down that entire fight and threw a disrespectful knee as Lee was shooting in, I think he was more than comfortable letting Lee waste energy and catching him off guard, which is what happened the very next round.

Regardless, Lee is one of the strongest 155lbs if not the strongest. If he gets a hold of you, he's going to put you down.

Charles has a ton of experience, maybe his gas tank isn't the greatest but he knows how to pace himself and I think that's what that was. He had no fear of pushing forward and potentially being taken down.

Was it fromunda cheese?
Provolone. I have a sub from jon smith's sub. Second time trying it. My coworker treated me to lunch there earlier this week. I like their subs, not bad. I was always a firehouse subs guy.
