4 in a row at HW for Gane (UFC wins that is), I'd say it's pretty impressive and he's passed all the tests. Start throwing him in the the top 10 and see what happens.

I really think he still thinks he has it and can be champ and really wants to fight. Arlovski is clearly showing up for paycheck's at this point which come to think of it him vs jds sounds good for a retirement fight for both.

Why not both?

I favored JDS over Gane due to their styles, and I did NOT expect JDS' chin to be that far gone. He was rocked by a JAB.

As for Gane, he's such a good prospect! He's a fluid, fast HW with great stand up, the ability to control range, cardio, and a love of submissions and grappling. What's not to love?

I agree that he doesnt have that much power on those hands, but he adjust it very well by finding other way to win : submission ,knees, elbows

This. JDS has been shot for years, but Gane is good. Very athletic and mobile for a heavyweight, good long range striker, built like a sherdogger.

Both, Gane is legit but JDS is obviously 5-6 years removed from his prime, and 9+ years from his peak.

The less hungry you become, the more likely you aren't willing to take additional punishment. JDS has lost some durability and punch resistance, but the main issue is heart and actually wanting to stay in the fight. JDS still has a strong chin, but he's turning away from opponents and seemingly collecting his check when the going gets tough. Not uncommon at all, it happens every fight card. He should be fighting guys outside the top 10 at this point.

TBH JDS lost in the same he has recently and crumbled until a small amount of pressure. Gane did what he had to but I don't think we learnt anything about Gane and how he would go against better opposition.
