Where will Oliveira be ranked in the updated UFC's rankings?

How far up will Oliveira move after beating Tony? Will we see an Uncle Goof special where McGregor moves up and is still ahead of Oliveira?

Note that Conor hasn't fought at LW in over two years and hasn't won a fight at LW in over four years. Since his last win at LW Oliveira has gone 9-1 and won 8 in a row.

He's top 3. Top 4 minimum. Hooker will be out of the top five.

If Dustin was going to be ranked ahead of Justin for that reason then it would have already happened. Justin doesn't move down to 5.

Conor shouldn't be in there obviously. He has the talent we all know but not the activity to justify. Not saying I think he wouldn't beat most of those names, just he shouldn't be in there at the moment.

Personally, I think Justin should drop behind Dustin. Oliveira should jump Tony and Mcgregor. I don't think this win is as big as when Justin did it. Just like Burns beating Woodley (and certainly Colby after Burns) didn't feel as significant since Usman already did it. But, Tony was ranked number 1 contender forever until 6 months ago so it is still significant.

As for the possible Gaethje fight, him getting bumped to #5 still fits into the narrative that Chandler's getting a Top 5 opponent. In theory, Gaethje has more chance to move in the rankings as he'll be the only one coming off of a loss, so it's not far off, and if he's #5, it still fits the narrative.

I would never suggest he gets bumped out of the Top 5, that's bullshit, but do to the nature of Conor being "back" the UFC might pull some shit close to the fight, they might even act sooner seeing how Tony lost.

We'll just have to see, I've been wrong before, but I'm airing on the side of Dana going full promotional Goof and pulling some shit.
