Nobody like Tony.

Charles is just exceptional and Tony isn't at his best anymore.

Still impressed how Tony fought through that. Wonder if he could have done a bit more in a 5-round fight.

Also, this fight wasn't vs Khabib, so proves nothing regarding Tony vs Khabib.
 
Tony never had a chance against Khabib. We didn't need to see this fight to know that.
 
Don't think I saw him throw the left after the 1st round. So I don't think he would do better in a 5 round fight.

But he is also still my current fighter. Favorite fighters are Chuck, BJ, and Tony. Going on a losing skid doesn't change that.

I'm a khabib and tony fan. Tony is 2nd in my LW goat rating despite never officially fighting for the title. He was the defacto real champion over conor sitting out for me. Its' sad as a tony fan seeing him like this.

He's lack of technical fundamentals will show in old age, like it did for roy jones.
 
Tony not the best but no quit in that guy. Stayed alive through at least 3 close submission attempts. Any man would have tapped to that arm bar! And then there were pretty tight arm triangles.
 
Tonys run at lw is second only to Khabibs and that's a fact

Tony lacks really top wins to call him a LW GOAT IMO.

His streak was great, but what are his top wins in it?
RDA was a great win, though he eyepoked him hard.
Barboza was a good win, again he upkicked him.

Still one of my favorites as well. Great career. Injuries and age have caught up with him. But I wish him the best.
 
Will forever be a Tony fan. Unfortunately at 36 years old with all the crazy wars he's been in and the serious knee injury, it seems his prime is behind him. Father time gets everyone. I'll still be pumped to watch his next time out in the Octagon.

Respect brother, as a Tony fan myself I want to see him ride off into the sunset and enjoy his family.
 
Im pissed politics got in the way of tony being champ. He shouldve gotten title shot instead of alvarez against RDA. So dumb.

I agree Khabib would’ve beat our guy.

I think Tony missed his train. He’s not big enough for the 170 guys anymore. He’s still a legend, but time passed him IMO.

But what’s with the Tony hate? Man, this is upsetting. The Khabib fans, no one is saying anything against Khabib, we just wanted them to fight. No need to hate Tony. His rise, his story, man, nothing but respect for Tony.
