Khabib Nurmagomedov has finally confirmed his presence at UFC 257. Obviously, Khabib will not appear as fighter but he will be involved in providing technical support to his cousin, Umar Nurmagomedov, who will be one of the fighters in the event.

As a result, the two long time arch-rivals shall have a chance to be face to face in person for the first time after the fight held in Las Vegas on October 7, 2018 when Khabib demolished McGregor in 4 rounds confirming himself as absolute champion of the lightweight division. Considering that McGregor is supposedly focused on the fight against Poirier, any eventual controversies would have to wait for the post-fight.

In case of McGregor’s win, we doubt that the Irishman would miss a chance to tease Khabib in the press conference or to repeat the insane actions we have seen in the past. His media exposure is a crucial part of the character and this could be a terrific opportunity.

Probably secretly told Conor or a member of his inner circle to disrespect Khabib somehow to goad him into a rematch, knowing Dagestani’s are huge on not losing face.
Khabib's teammates are fighting in the prelims right? He'll probably finish his business and leave before Conor comes in the building...

Unless Khabib secretly wants man drama as an excuse to return

I think with age comes wisdom and losing to khabib already, I don’t think will Conor will be a prick.
With Khabib retired and therefore not much of a threat to Conor's career, why not goad him? That's what Conor does.

But if Dustin wins then I think Conor probably wouldn't be too keen on picking a fight with Khabib. He probably goes for the Nate trilogy if he loses to Dustin.

Got a feeling that's one of the reasons Dana keeps calling Khabib the champ - so Conor can try to goad him out of retirement if he wins.

I doubt Khabib will hang around for Conor's fight but one of his group made some stupid comments about there being trouble if the 2 groups met. I think UFC and their UAE partners will make sure they're kept apart.

I feel like nothing will come of it. I sorta doubt Khabib will stay and watch the whole event, at least not from the crowd (seems like he'd be in the back with his guy who's fighting). Unless Dana asks him to sit and watch.
