Weidman is the most overrated figther in UFC History

It’s always easy to say someone is overrated after their reign is over. If I didn’t know any better it looks like to me you’re a recent fan because those were amazing wins at the time. These new fans always think they’re doing something. If you weren’t watching back then I think it’s best to refrain from commenting. Your opinion is irrelevant.

Well suited to fighting a certain kind of opponent I'd say when he could use fear of the takedown to keep the standup slow and methodical, was far less effective when fighting opponents who did not fear the takedown and by this stage has obviously declined alot after a number of bad KOs.

Most of the hype was what he "could" achieve in a stacked division, if he'd have beaten Rockhold, Romero, Moose and Jacare he would be the MW GOAT but he didnt so he isnt.

Highly overrated for sure. People were saying he would beat Jon Jones which was utterly moronic. He had a huge glaring weakness which was a terrible gas tank but people kept on making excuses for him like short notice fight, body shots, coming back from injury until he started gassing in every single fight. If he had a better gas tank, I think he'd actually be a super good fighter.

Correct me if I’m wrong but hasn’t he beat more top 5s then khabib? Not like that’s saying much but still, dude doesn’t avoid top competition / challenges....

Weidman was pretty good. His only overrated win was Vitor as he was just coming off the TRT. Yeah Silva broke his damn leg but you can't take away the fact that Weidman was dominating him up to that point.

Correct, I mean the ending of the second fight was weird but Weidman would have won anyway.
