So Chandler ducked Tony for a make-believe fight with Gaethje... lol

Question to my boys does Gaethje deserve another shot at the title after getting finished by Khabib?

His eyes don’t call the shots. It all depends what the ultra unsavoury Dana White eyes.

The winner of Oliviera/Tony might be in front of him though, right? Oliveira would be on an 8 fight win streak with a win over Tony. I'm cool with whatever, but I prefer Gaethje fight someone else before getting another crack.

Conor/Poirer
Tony/Chuck
Gaethje/Chandler
Hooker/Felder (because why not, even though RDA probably deserves it)

Islam needs a fight too. @Ackmed what is your boy's plans? He should be close to healed up.

This could be fun.

The winner of tony oliveira deserves to fight for the title
I prefer this for oliveira not so much Tony as he's coming off Loss to justin. Olive wins title shot, Tony wins Justin gets it.

I say winner of Poirier/McGregor fights winner of Ferguson/Oliveira for the vacant title; winner of Gaethje/Chandler can fight for the new champion's first title defense.

You're welcome UFC.

Either both guys are being coy because the ufc asked them not to announce it yet or Chandler is fighting someone else

Interested to see what it is.bits kinda funny how gaethje avoided doing press for two months but now doing press out of the blue.

I don't see him doing that I less a fight was lined up? Who knows. The khabib loss clearly hurts. He barely touched on it. That sucks.

Imagine Conor fighting again in the UFC any time soon after Dustin, I just can't see it, win or lose, dude takes breaks.

No. Gaethje got absolutely smoked by Khabib. Khabib's least competitive fight in a while. MJ? More competitive. Barboza? More competitive. Al? More competitive. And without a shadow of a doubt the McGregor and Porier fights were more competitive. He needs a fight or two imo before title contention again.

If Tony beats Bronx he should get the #1 contender spot against Khabib or the winner of Porier/McGregor 2 for the vacant belt.
Gaethje should clash with Chandler.

If Oliveira wins then we gotta a clusterfuck if Khabib doesn't come back. If Khabib comes back then it's simple Oliveira vs Khabib. If he doesn't Oliveira will probably get the short stick (unless he wins spectacularly) and the UFC will go Porier/McGregor vs Chandler/Gaethje for vacant with Oliveira having to wait for his turn or even worse fight a RDA.

I like Justin, but absolutely not. I think he realistically needs at least 1 win before getting another title shot. It sets a pretty bad precedent if you start awarding guys with title shots right after they got dominated in a title fight.
With that said, the UFC has obviously given away a lot of undeserved title shots in the past. But, I don't think Justin is anything close to the type of "needle mover" that they would do that for or someone like Conor who they really want to be a champ.

The whole thing is weird because there's no one who clearly deserves a TS. I'm not a big fan of tournaments, but Khabib walking away makes some sort of bracket the only answer and still at least one person gets burned.

If Olivera beats Tony, then I like the winner of Dustin vs Conor taking on the winner of Justin vs Tony/Olivera for the vacated title.

There's plenty of arguments to make against that plan.

5-3 in the ufc & coming off a loss. Go get a fucking win first for goodness sake. Beat RDA, Hooker, or Chandler & then this would maybe make sense.

Love Gaethje but even Ryan Hall thinks he's acting like an entitled brat.

He should have to beat somebody else first. He laid a complete egg in the Khabib fight. I expected Khabib to win but Justin did worse than almost everybody Khabib had fought the last few years and stylistically should have been one of his toughest fights.

Could be, could not be. Don't care.

LW is so stacked right now that whoever they put to fight it will be a great fight.
