A look back at the Strikeforce Era documentary/ highlight

I was glad when UFC bought them, because all these big name guys were all together. I loved that. Now those big names are retiring or going to Bellator, and the UFC is a bunch of guys I have never heard of and/or can't pronounce their names. I just now finally learned to pronounce Khabib's last name, and now he's gone. Not saying the quality of fights has gotten worse, there have been great fights. Just not the hype for UFC cards that there used to be. I still watch every card though.

Especially with the HW division. I used to say on here that SF had a better HW division at the time of the merger and got a ton of shit. I was not the only one with that opinion, but we were the minority. I think time has showed SF did in fact have the better HW division at the time.

I think their MW division was also better, especially if you count their LHWs who dropped down to MW like Romero and Mousasi.

Yeah, even my boy Hendo wound up going the other way and jumped up to LHW after getting outwrestled by Shields. Good career choice lol

I came to MMA just as Pride was finished, so my golden era is when we had Strikeforce, WEC and UFC all putting on great shows.

I loved the Challenger Series on Friday nights. Joe Boxer, Krazy Horse, KJ Noons and Waachim Spiritwolf were seemingly on every week.
