... to get a 10th degree red belt?
Congrats in advanceProbably me
I posted it in the UFC Discussion forum because it's not a question about grappling technique, and because there's no BJJ Discussion forum.Where was this originally posted?
This is actually where people discuss BJJ, wrestling and basically any form of grappling. I could see why the title would be misleading though, for example, they have a forum for stand-up technique and separate ones for boxing and Muay Thai. I suppose the reason the general grappling discussion sub-forum consolidates technical discussion and sport discussion is because grappling has yet to really take off as a strong spectator sport.I posted it in the UFC Discussion forum because it's not a question about grappling technique, and because there's no BJJ Discussion forum.
I think the time has come in the evolution of MMA and in the evolution of Sherdog for Sherdog to add a BJJ column and a Wrestling column to the Fight Discussion forum list seeing as how there's a Muay Thai column and a Boxing column. I would hope that those new columns would eventually generate more interest than the already-existing Fantasy Matchup Discussion. This is actually where people discuss BJJ, wrestling and basically any form of grappling. Well, I think it would be more fair to possibly have a separate grappling forum to discuss sport grappling, but to give BJJ a forum over every other style of submission-grappling forum would be a bit unfair. I think perhaps having a submission-grappling forum and a wrestling forum might make sense, perhaps, because for one thing, the sport of no-gi submission grappling brings in basically all the various submission styles under one competitive roof, much like kickboxing does for various striking styles.I think the time has come in the evolution of MMA and in the evolution of Sherdog for Sherdog to add a BJJ column and a Wrestling column to the Fight Discussion forum list seeing as how there's a Muay Thai column and a Boxing column. Yes, you are 100% correct. That was a complete oversight on my part.Well, I think it would be more fair to possibly have a separate grappling forum to discuss sport grappling, but to give BJJ a forum over every other style of submission-grappling forum would be a bit unfair.
