He seems to ve jn panic mode with his mental resources heavily invested in what's immediately happening to him. To speak eloquently, you must have a bigger picture understanding of what you are saying , the confidence to go off script and ve able to reign kt back in, and you must e able to imagine being on the receiving end of what you are saying.
