Media On this day. Benson Henderson trounces Nate Diaz

Benson is still really fucking good. I think even he underestimated Bellator and how tough it was going to be. It’s amazing how casuals think you lose your “UFC superpowers” once you leave the organization.

Benson was a great fighter. Not sure why Antony Pettis was his kryptonite. Stylistic should be an easy fight for him.
Pettis is active off his back with subs (2nd fight Pettis was able to get an armbar from the bottom) and Benson wasn't a top control type of grappler. Pettis would get controlled by those type of wrestlers/grapplers who focus on position and top control.

Point fighting decision machine that I had hoped to forget ever existed. Thanks a lot, TS...

I disagree as Bendo has been involved in way too many classics for that label. I honestly cant even recall a truly boring fight by the man during his ufc run. I thought people didn't like him cuz he won close decisions?
His last bellator fights have been pretty rough though.
Weird because I cant remember any of his fights being not boring...

Easy to remember, used the "anti-Diaz" gameplan to a T. Just leg kicked him for 5 rounds. Probably his strongest title fight.
