Khabib said he want his promotion (EFC) on Fight Pass, said when he meets Dana he will negotiate it.

Some people are saying Dana will ask for one more fight from Khabib as a negotiating tactic.

But if Khabib refuses, what does Dana do? He can't get on Khabib's bad side, he is the sole reason the Arab oil sheikhs are opening their arms to the UFC, and with the Covid thing in America not going away anytime soon, Dana needs the Arab money more than ever

Dana can afford anything he wants. The ufc on the other hand is losing a lot of money if he really stays retired.

Dana's extremely rich as is so obviously he can. But I'm not sure if Dana is the guy who calls the shot anymore.

1) UFC has been coming to Abu Dhabi for more than a decade. 2) Abu Dhabi is trying to become a tourist-attraction and they need big international events. Those shows aren't held so the locals can gush over Khabib.

...and with the Covid thing in America not going away anytime soon...

With multiple vaccinations being approved and soon to be distributed, it is likely to be severely reduced by next summer. Covid is a big deal at the moment, but humanity is solving the problem and UFC doesn't have to adjust their long term plans because of it.

That's what Dana spents on hookers and coke in a year, he can afford it but he never would because of the precedent it would set, I can only see him saying yes if someone else co promotes it.

Khabib could bend Dana over a table if he wanted to, but does not because that would be haram.

The UFC has had a long relationship with UAE. It's not solely dependent on 1 fighter.

But yeah, Dana will use giving EFC privileges to get Khabib to fight again. But if they make a deal like that and Khabib comes back, I'm not so sure it'll be just for one fight tbh. I could see him come back and fight Conor, GSP and Tony. Then retire again.

There's no better way to promote your new businesses - EFC, Eagle Mobile etc - than being on top of the world as a world champ.

Dana will bend the knee...

Khabib will come back for his 30 and 0..

That's set in stone..Yes he was a daddy's boy and recently turned mommas boy.. 29 and 0 just doesnt sound as good as 30 and 0.

Dana could for negotiation tactics but he could also miss out on other big stars coming from the promotion so it would be bad business to base it completely on Khabib fighting again. There are other international markets for mma besides UFC. Khabib could also work with OneFC. I don't think Dana or UFC would want to risk losing possible upcoming talent from that region to other promotions or lose that market altogether.

Khabib is one fighter the UFC doesn't him at all. Anyone thinking that EFC would really affect the bottom line for the UFC doesn't understand how business works.

I don’t care how many Instacart followers Habib has, he is not keeping this organization afloat.

The UFC will never need just one fighter ever...

It survived long before khabib( singular fighter) and it will do so after.

This is a common misconception about fighter stardom... The promotion is always ahead of the talent...as soon as the talent tries to eclipse the promotion the promotion just moves on to the next talent or builds a new one...however the star trying to eclipse then cant move forward without a promotions help so at the end of the day the promotion has the power...always...

Khabib if serious could just launch EFC without Dana ...hes throwing UFC a bone and trying to work an angle as a future star manager..but the UFC likes to control things.. Dana and co can leave and move on without issue... question is can khabib still launch EFC successfully without Fight pass

He is not the sole reason the Emirates work with UFC. Flash Entertainment, a company owned by the Abu Dhabi government, bought a 10% stake of the Zuffa owned UFC in 2010; 9% of the Fertitta's share, and 1% of Dana's - two years before Khabib entered UFC.

It is still the company they affiliate with for all of their Abu Dhabi events, including their most recent events at the Flash Forum. Didnt look into it, but Im pretty sure they retained their 10% through the WME buyout.

There's 3 vaccines I'm the final stage before distribution with over 90% effectiveness. The US/world won't be worrying for very much longer.

I don’t know why dumb shit like this gets brought up. Just like McGregor, the UFC was there before Khabib and it’ll be there after Khabib. UFC’s entire business model has always been built around on the brand itself and not any individual fighter.
