I don't think Yan deserved his shot either but he's right. Also Yan's still one of the best fighters at 135 can think of a bunch of guys who could have beaten TJ while he was champ who lost out on title shots to Cruz's ghost and Henry Cjuedo.

BW was a clogged toilet for years as TJ,Cody and Cruz fought each other over and over again now it's TJ's turn to wait in line.

I think asterisk for PED use are overused especially when one test puts one on whole careers but this one's really damming. A he admitted to using EPO on purpose(unlike say Jones who in reality tested positive for one fight and never admitted to doing it on purpose) and B the context of what EPO does and how close most of TJ's fights were whether it be decision, unusually late finish(as most fighters are too tired to get fifth round finishes) or almost getting finished by Cody. Even without the PED's TJ was never a dominant champ and his competition(for a champion) was pretty soft.

If nobody has patience, and there aren't any rules, shit gets more and more moronic. Competitions are made interesting by their strictures, be it in the actual sport itself, or in ranking systems.
