Besides GSP delusional fanbase, is there anyone who thinks he can beat Khabib?

I mean GSP is one of the GOATs, in his prime i think he's one of the few fighters i can think that could actually beat Khabib but... He's 40 years old, had 1 fight in the last 8 years which was at MW and he didn't look good at all, the guy has been basically retired since 2013 and somehow people think it would be competitive for him to comeback and fight a monster like Khabib?
Yall telling me that people actually think GSP at age 40 could come back and beat Khabib or even make it competitive? That's hilarious. I understand Khabib side on fighting a legend and idol like GSP but for the fans in general, besides his fans, is there legit anyone here who thinks GSP stands more than a punchers chance against Khabib? I'm just trying to understand why people want see this fight so bad lol

They aren't in the same weightclasses. If they were, GSP could squeak out a win with much better striking.

He's 40 years old. He's not outstriking Khabib or stopping his chain wrestling lmao

GSP just has to keep the fight on his feet. I thin that is in the realm of possiblity even though I wouldn't bet on 40 year old gsp.

I still want to see that fight even though GSP is out of his prime. He is much bigger than Khabib and his wrestling is solid, even if Khabib wins it won't be by total domination, it would be a battle between the best two wrestlers in the history of UFC.

But Dana will never make that fight

you really think a 40 year old GSP with 1 fight at MW since 2013 will stop Khabib's wrestling? I don't think people realize how bad GSP looked in there against Bisping because he actually ended up winning which isn't criticism, normal for a 37 year old with a 4 year layoff...Now he's 40. Even if because he's fighting at 170 he can be faster and more elusive on his feet he won't really have anything for a guy like Khabib.

GSP is a better striker but its hard to keep Khabib standing or away enough to strike.
GSP was a better striker in his prime, against GSP today Khabib will probably have his way on the feet duo to his speed and defense. Khabib has underrated striking, he evolved a lot in that regard in the last 3/4 years. GSP would be so slow and stiff in there it wouldn't even be funny to watch, plus there's no way he stops Khabib's chain wrestling. I just don't see the amusement over this match up in this context. If this was 2015 count me in but at 40 years old? I think we have enough examples to know this would be bad for GSP.

I'm not a big GSP fan, but I appreciate him a lot. To answer the question, depends on the weightclass. If they fought at WW, GSP all day. At LW, not sure.

One of the traits that made GSP so successful was his commitment to gameplanning. He and his coaches had a knack for tailoring his approach to specific fighters, and it showed throughout his career. I can picture GSP coming in with a very thought-out strategy and making things look ugly for Khabib.

As far as the wrestling goes, keep in mind that GSP has put on wrestling clinics against elite-level wrestlers his entire career. He was even able to have wrestling success against pre-USADA Johny Hendricks. Khabib may be a better MMA wrestler than those guys, but it's not like GSP would just be helpless, too.

170 or 155, doesn't matter, Khabib would dominate him now.
