#8. do you mean Elkins?

I liked Beneil Dariush vs Klose and Dariush vs Holtzman
Those were awesome, especially Dariush vs Klose. I thought it was the FOTN but everyone else seems to prefer Zhang vs JJ so it got overshadowed.

Yan vs Aldo is one of my favorite fights of the year, probably #1 for me really.

This is a pretty good list. I agree with the top 3, I dont have a super clear memory of the other contenders

Glover vs. Santos was pretty crazy as long as it lasted. Won me some coin too so it was extra fun.

it didnt last long, but khabib vs gaethje was exciting from start to finish. khabib putting on a relentless pace/pressure and bringing the striking battle at the highligh reel gaethje.

gaethje had damaging leg kicks that had me on the edge of my seat, they hurt khabib but he kept going forward to the point that we saw geatjhe running. the ground game was just a masterfull display by khabib who this time didnt go for positional awareness, but full on atack, just like the stand up battle.

Extremely underrated and never spoken of fight. Forgot what card it was on, but that was incredible display of talent, toughness, multiple skillsets, changing gameplan midfight. Aldo showed he still had the fire and was chopping Yan's leg off, took away his power, Yan had to switch up attack to find a hole.

Edit: It was on the boring top heavy Volk v Max snoozer followed by Usman hugging Mas

I think Stipe/DC III should be on the list. That was a fucking war, and obviously the huge stakes added a lot to the appeal of it.

Also Luque/Niko Price is a favourite of mine. I'd watch those two go at it every weekend.

It was UFC 250 I think. Wasn't even the co-main event, Max vs Alex was and then Usman vs Masvidal was the main event.

Yeah it was an awesome fight. I think they were pretty even during the first half of the fight. Problem is Aldo likes to coast by getting his opponents into a defensive shell with some bursts in the early rounds but Yan wasn't letting him do that and was there the whole time so when Aldo started gassing Yan could push the pace and chip at him further. I liked it so much at the time I saw it about three times that night and once was with Rogan's commentary on the background(he wasn't on the official broadcast but he did his own commentary on his podcast). He made a good point about halfway through the fight about how when one guy starts to tire and look for a break and the other picks up on that the fight can change quickly. I think that's partly what we saw.

Bisping said something clever about them going toe to toe but not in the metaphoric sense of swinging wildly but in the literal sense that they were standing so close to each other their lead toes were almost touching. Basically they were in the pocket almost the entire time, such a sick fight. I get that it wasn't necessarily balls to the wall but for me the entertainment value of a fight is increased when there are high stakes, the skill level is high, and I am invested in the fighters and all three applied to this fight. It gets my vote for FOTY.

Wouldn’t call Tony vs Justin a fight that was a one side beatdown. Song vs Vera and Kattar vs Stephens could take that spot other than that great list.
