A genuine question. What is more impressived for Khabib, to beat a 40 year GSP or Charles Oliveira?

Reading a lot here that a win over Oliveira is more impressive then a GSP of today

So 40 year old GSP that still trains and looks fucking great physically and according to Firas Zahabi

“He’s a machine. Dude, I’m telling you, if Usman or Colby gets injured . . . I don’t want to talk for Georges but man, he can kill anybody. He can kill anybody this man. He’s the world’s greatest martial artist. He’s a monster. I was just training with him Saturday.

“It has to be, in my opinion - I don’t want to talk for him, but I think the thing that’s going to motivate him is a megafight,” Zahabi said. “He doesn’t want to be champion again and fight every three-four months. That’s done. It’s not gonna happen no more. But one megafight. Invite him back for a megafight and see if you could entice him because he’s a competitor. He’s still training, he’s still ripped, shredded, fighting. He can do five rounds. Maybe he can’t do five rounds right away but he [only] needs a few weeks and then he’s doing five rounds. He’s close to being there. He can get in fight shape. He’s just a monster.”

In my opinion some 40 years old fighters just have "It" Yoel Romero, DC and i think GSP would fit that category. Still thinks GSP would school those 170 pounders today. Now to the most importent question will the fight against Khabib be at 170 or 155. Or can they make new belt for on mega fight at 165?
Ali Abdelaziz sad that he thinks GSP is smaller then Khabib right now, lol.

Or

Charles Oliveira a guy who still in his prime and if he beats Ferguson which i highly doubt that would put him on 8 fight win streak. Lets be honest he have beaten no one that make you think this guy is the guy to beat Khabib. Kevin Lee who he submitted have lost to RDA via Sub and Ferguson via sub. Khabib would have submitted Kevin Lee in the second round, especially after seeing what he did to Gaethje. Khabib was also close to tap Abel Trujillo from his guard but the bell saved his ass.

I understand that he Oliveira is a great in the ground but what Felder did to him made me question that. Khabib is on another level.

So if Khabib beats one of those two fighters today which one would be more impressive? Thanks for reading

It would mean a lot more to beat GSP.

Only future could tell. Berbick beat old Ali but no one talks about that.

Franklin KO'd old Chuck but no one talks about that either...
the difficulty of the question is that Charles likely hasn’t accomplished much compared to what we’ll see through out his career. If he becomes a gigantic name in the future, people will say he was too young. If GSP losses they will say he’s too old. It’s a lose, lose imo. That’s why taking some time off wouldn’t be bad for Khabib. Let someone show they are worth the return. If it’s gun to my head right now about who’s the better win, it’s GSP

I'd pay to see them in a grappling competition outside of MMA, for me that's where the interest lies here, to find out who is the best wrestler?

GSP doesn't have a lot of milestone on his body unlike most former champs so while it may not be impressive at face value given his age, a win over what many consider as the GOAT is a huge achievement.

Khabib should come back and beat Tony and GSP, that would shut haters up completely

that would cement him as undisputed goat.

I doubt he fight either one though, the most likely fight would be the Conor rematch

It would add more to his legacy to beat GSP, because his fanboys inflated him a lot.

Stay retired because that's exactly what you promised your now dead Dad.

That would be the most impressive.

Khabib is done fellas. Sorry.

I'm trying to think of a time when beating a once great but now 40 year old guy was ever considered impressive for a young champion? Rocky Marciano got little credit for beating 37 year old Joe Louis. Larry Holmes got no credit for beating a 38 year old Muhammad Ali (and both Louis and Ali were better athletes than GSP). Mike Tyson got no credit for beating a 39 year old Larry Holmes.

Even a relatively unknown Chris Weidman didn't get much credit for beating 38 year old Anderson Silva (and relative unknowns get more credit for beating old guys than big name champs).

Khabib is a champ and on the great fighters list. He's expected to beat any 40 year old guy in his weight division every time, especially a 40 year old guy with one fight in six years.

Beating a 40 yr old GOAT candidate is better than beating someone who is not in the conversation at all.
