Think like a prometer for a moment, anderson will not be a cheap guy to have in your roster, he's also very old so even if he fights in your organization it won't be for a long time

- if he runs trough the mw division of your promotion it will only show how trash it is compared to the ufc

- if he doesn't he's an old man fighting against young lions which would be seen as just plain cruel ( remember golden boy with chuck vs tito 3? Yeah that wasn't a good look at all for them )

Its a lose or lose situation for every major promotion out there, andy is just not viable for any of them

Let's be real. They're just scared Anderson might be get on the juice and fuck their rosters up lol

Jk
Yes thats a possibility, this or he's to old to compete in a high level. Truth be told he still got the skills but his chin and reflexes ( a big part of his game is gone ) anyway he will not be a long time fighter anymore, besides that there are no interesting match ups for him, maybe fedor but anderson is a mw, he came at 196 against dc and looked fat so i don't think thats even a possibility

Nah he's definitely washed, I was just being facetious lol

I'm guessing with Anderson theres also the possibility of that long talked about boxing match with Roy Jones Jnr which might draw decent interest as a one off.

I'd start watching Bellator again if they put him in one of those 8-man tournaments they used to do. I liked that format for determining the next title challenger.

No ones gonna care about that now. Anderson would get killed today just like in 2009 anyway

No one is signing him because literally no one is interested in watching him fight the way he has for the last 8 fights putting on shocking performances getting his ass kicked.

I could see it getting some hype, not nearly as much hype as it would have back then of course but the MMA/boxing crossover hasnt really been mined that deeply since Conor/Floyd and both men have significant fan bases still.

The big advantage of course would be in boxing Anderson would pocket much more of the PPV money than he would in any MMA org. Even something that draws relatively low PPV numbers or perhaps gets bought by some premium TV channel could potentially earn him significant amounts.

the point really is that neither RJJ or Anderson should be fighting anyone, not even themselves.

Its a useless fight for 50 yr old Roy to beat this dude aint really won a fight in 7 yrs
I dont think too many would pay to see it

Money wise though I suspect its part of the reason why Anderson has both been let go by the UFC and orgs like Bellator arent showing interest, he's not dropping his demands because he might see the potential earnings from a boxing match.

You could have fights with Roy Jones and Tyson, not really credible sport but could draw significant interest or Anderson could actually fight someone more credible ranked today and depend more on the crossover hype than celebrity.

Bellator for the longest time was focused on using UFC rejects and fat, over the hill, past their prime fighters to have a few names and promote fights. And yeah, while that still exists, these past years they're doing a lot to build a real brand of homegrown fighters and have their own guys. I agree with your points TS, and would add they want to move away from that UFC dependency. That being said, if Andeson really wants to continue fighting, I'd love to see him in the UFC against whack-ass competition instead of some bloodlust Organization looking to make a name of Anderson and put him against some killer they're promoting. Main reason why I wanted BJ to stay in the UFC. I cant stand the idea this crazy motherfucker is going to get soccerkicked in some shitty ass MMA organization paying him 60k/60k for his troubles. I just hope Andersons career somehow ends with him getting a few wins over no-names and riding off into the sunset.

I dont think Anderson is interested in fighting no names, and UFC probably doesnt want to bring in nobodies for Anderson to fight either. If things get that bad its time to cut ties

In my opinion and with all due respect, i think you are totally

- if he runs trough the mw division of your promotion it will only show how trash it is compared to the ufc

With all due respect I think you are wrong.

Imo, promoters are worried that he will get hurt, which would hurt the promotions image.

Imagine bellator signing him and he gets ko'd badly. Cyborg v MVP bad.
Everyone would give bellator shit for not allowing him to retire.

For example, chuck Liddell vs Tito ortiz. Dana forced chuck to retire. Chuck should've stayed retired. Oscar signed him to fight.
Oscar and his promotion took a huge PR hit.

@Unfinished Sentenc - what do u think? Do you agree with me?

People would still watch Fedor vs Anderson.
I dont want to watch Anderson fight. Fedor at least is willing to try and knock a motherfucker out,and gets the job done more often than he doesnt. Thats the only thing left he's got. Anderson aint even got that.

Agreed. And thats gonna be the issue. Hell for all this "I shouldn't have let Anderson fight this fight" shit that Dana said, the dude seemed to have forgotten he promised Anderson a TS if he beats Adesanya. He knew damn well he wanted Izzy to make a name for himself against Andy and used him for that. UFC didn't do Anderson any favors nor did Anderson do himself any either. And with that mentally he's going to fuck up his legacy further. But, what are you gonna do?
