However, Prime GSP was the best fighter ever.

Prime GSP had amazing timing and distance management. His striking versatility was mediocre in today's era - he had a good jab and spinning back kick. Khabib has the timing and distance management too. Khabib's striking versatility is even less diverse, but he can close the distance and smesh the best strikers. He's proven it against better strikers than GSP has ever faced in Conor, Dustin and Barboza.

In the grappling department, Khabib's game is more advanced than GSPs. No one will blame you if you can't spot the difference, even the best fighters in the world can't figure it out. But they are not the same caliber.

GSP's only advantage, on paper, would be his size strength since his body type if more accustomed to 170. But Khabib practices with olympic level talent well above his weight class in dagestan and at aka. GSP would not be a problem.

Let's break the fight down... Some strengths that they both possess is their grappling. Khabib's not going to ragdoll the bigger GSP. And GSP might not be able to outgrapple Khabib. It takes a better wrestler to take the guy down, it takes a way better wrestler to keep them down. And neither of them are way better at grappling. However GSP has the way better striking. I know this because GSP outstruck the (striker) champion (at 30+ pounds heavier) at the time to become the two division GOAT. Khabib doesn't possess that power to put GSP away.. and that's what it would take to beat GSP... If the grappling cancels out, GSP fans are stoked. In terms of what's better for the sport, we should all be rooting for GSP, 'cause this would be history in the making!
