Is Sakuraba the first complete fighter?

Nearly everyone in Pancrase 1 would have smoked everyone in UFC 1. Royce is far from being the best freestyle fighter of his day.

Sakuraba could definitely mix ip up, but he wanted to grapple. "Complete" has no meaningful definition so yeah.

Certainly one of but there were a few in that time.
How? Royce couldnt strike for shit. He couldnt wrestle for shit. His job as to wrap you up in his gi,and go for a submission. Thats why Sakuraba was better than guys of his ilk, Saku could wrestle, and while he wasnt the greatest striker ever,he sure as hell was miles above Royce. Add that to his exceptional no gi submission ability and its a bad night for the gracies.

Royce had people like his brother pulling strings for him by rearranging the card several times in the same night. If Kimo kept his hair short, Royce would've been pounded out.

I respect royce alot. I just would not call him well rounded.

Royce eh? Well I suppose that depends on your definition of "complete"...
