True, but I would say just as stupid are the people you used to find in the Worldwide section swearing up and down that Rick Hawn was a top 5 LW, just to slap him on Chandler's resume, or that Will Brooks was #1 after beating Chandler twice. Koreshkov was a top 5 WW and Askren would beat anyone in the UFC not named GSP. Liam McGeary and Emmanuel Newton would wreck shop in the UFC, so would Brandon Halsey and Vitaly Minakov, Curran/Straus/Pitbull were >Aldo/Mendes/Frankie and Dantas/Warren were >Barao/Cruz/Faber.

Most people who have brains saw that Gaethje and Chandler were more then Minor League bums or b league fighters. Just like most see Pitbull and Nemkov as title contenders tomorrow if they came to the UFC. Maybe they disagree on where they'd sit in the rankings, but that's it.
