Media Two sketchy looking mobsters investing big money into opening "France's UFC"

I watched it, yeah they dress weird but so what ? Give them time, so far they aren't talking any worse than any other future business men, their plan seems pretty stable.

Watched only 2 minutes of that. I can't stand La Sueur. This guy can't articulate for shit it annoys me.

And these two dudes look like a comedy sketch. Replace the left one with Bernard Campan and the right one with Didier Bourdon and it would feel exactly the same way (an old school reference to classic French comedy that I am sure older French posters will recognise).

They're making some moves, though. They signed Bigfoot Silva, pro wrestler Mark Henry, and Artem Lobov to their new promotion.

Les Deux Danas Bless.

Not sure what big foot has been up to but I don't quite see it as a mark of prestige to sign him nowadays, nor Artem. Feels like a pretty bad commercial strategy to sign some washed, formerly big names. You probably have to pay them a lot but it is a poor investment as they have no potential for your org anymore. It's essentially "purchasing" visibility but nobody is paying for bum fights in the long term. Anyways what do I know about fight promotion.

"We sign the best"

...Artem Lobov....

I know he's a name and has visibility but if you start signing rejects and washed up fighters for the begining of your promotion, not sure you're going to be taken seriously on the long term.

One has a background in savate and the other is a kickboxing/thai promoter since 15 years

And the events will have muy thai/kickboxing and mma bouts

The idea is to get the butts in seats first with the big names and circus fights and slowly build up some fan favorites from the undercards.

You sound like you know more than those two..

They looked very genuine in that interview, they're also giving an opportunity for young fighters to fully dedicate their time to the sport instead of having to work on the side. I like where it's going.

If you speak French, you will find this shit hilarious.

Dana Baguette et Dana Fromage are going to take over the MMA game, mark my words.

As they snagged Artem as their top promotion I feel they have a chance.
