Israel is a generational talent, but that isn't enough to beat Jones

I find it so interesting that people are giving Izzy such strong chances. It's a nightmare of a matchup for him.

Jon is the safest fighter we've ever seen in the octagon. The entire idea of being a counter striker is that you are leveraging the risk your opponent is willing to take to inflict damage. Jon takes no risk, that's his style. Even in close fights like Santos, he was never in any danger of taking excessive damage. Most guys use their physical gifts to impose their will, Jon uses it to coast.

The most dangerous fighter to Israel is a fighter that isn't trying to make a statement, it's the fighter that's willing to stomp feet pressed against the cage until time runs out, it's a sportsman whose only goal is to win, and that's Jon Jones.

He's not a generational talent. He gonna lose soon.

generational talent my ass. MMA has hardly been around a generation, and the popularity of the sport has only recently attracted a decent level of talent, and yet Izzy still isnt among the top few talents ever in the sport.

Fedor, GSP, Jones, Silva, Aldo, Nurmagomedhov, McGregor, Cejudo are all higher on that list.

That said, Izzy is among the most talented right now.
