nailed it...khabib might be one of the hardest fighters to hit in mma. Dustin Poirer who is super accurate couldn’t even touch him. Poirer touches everyone.

Khabib and Khamzat are just polar opposite in every way.

Khabib is careful, reserved...calculated. Defensive, manages output extremely carefully. He doesn’t beat you in one moment...he manages his effort, breaks your will, and over powers you mentally.

Khamzat is brash...he will not always do it cleanly but he will go after you, and if he smells blood he will dump efforts. He won’t be afraid to unload..he trusts that he has enough in the tank to beat you before he gassed. When he’s on the feet he will not just counter punch, but will actually swarm you.

They are just so different. It’s like comparing Floyd may weather and mike Tyson just because they are both black and from the US. The similarities literally stop there. Not sure why people feel the need to keep mentioning these two together

Yeah, agree with you here.

I mean in his first two fights, he obviously was very Khabib-like in a way, but then again: it's just that we attribute the likeness of something to those that stand for something, which in this case, is very dominant wrestling.

Khamzat is pretty much a grappler/striker hybrid, isn't he?
From what we've seen he just does what he feels is the right thing, i'd say.

What's crazy to me, is how accurate his striking seems to be.
Both the Meerschaert knockout and (maybe even moreso) that counter uppercut he knocked a guy out with before entering the UFC are in my eyes very clear signs of a naturally talented striker.

It's crazy if you think about it, because let's just for fun say his grappling is on a somewhat similar level to Khabib.
Now imagine Khabib in tall, rangy, with very accurate striking and significantly more power.
This is allmost "creating the perfect fighter" kind of stuff.
